General Information:
The Main Unit refers to the Data Processing Unit for the
ASPERA-3 ELS, NPI, NPD, and Scanner instruments, and is the
interface to the spacecraft.
IMA has a separate DPU and IMA data simply passes through the MU DPU.
There are 7 Virtual Instruments for the Main Unit:
-
1 Solar Sensor Data
-
MU Solar Sensor information of 2 sensors, all scalars: 8 bits per sample (MUSOLAR, for MU SOLAR sensor data)
NOTE: MUSOLAR data is only available when the scanning unit is rotating. The scanning unit started rotating January 2006.
-
6 Engineering Monitors
-
30 8-bit Engineering Monitors: 8 bits per sample (MUENG8A, for MU ENGineering 8-bit monitors)
-
18 8-bit Engineering Housekeeping Measurements: 8 bits per sample (MUENG8B, for MU ENGineering 8-bit housekeeping data)
-
22 16-bit Engineering Measurements: 16 bits per sample (MUENG16, for MU ENGineering 16-bit data)
-
1 32-bit Engineering Measurement: 32 bits per sample (MUENG32, for MU ENGineering 32-bit data)
-
34 1-bit Status Measurements: 1 bit per sample (MUENGS1, for MU ENGineering Status 1-bit data)
-
12 Multi-bit Status Monitors: 8 bits per sample (MUENGSM, for MU ENGineering Status Multi-bit data)
